If you also want to impress everyone, it doesn’t take much, that’s actually the secret of my success during the Christmas holidays, my main dish that impresses with the specialness of the ingredients. This recipe contains a mix of fresh and pleasant aromas, the classic mix of carrots, celery and onions, mixed with toasted and crumbled old bread, which makes them delicious and because of their consistency.

1 onion (100 g)
1 stalk of celery (100 g)
2 carrots (150 g)
sprig of parsley (10 g)
clove of garlic
Extra virgin olive oil to taste
Salt to taste
Rich pepper to taste
100 g old bread for toasting and crumbling
One kg of mussels

How to prepare steamed mussels

To prepare this delicious dish, start by washing and cutting the onion, celery and carrot into very small pieces. Chop the garlic and parsley and set everything aside. Cut stale bread into slices and toast until crispy in a pan or non-stick pan. Then let cool and chop in a blender.

Pour a little extra virgin olive oil into a large pan. Add the prepared chopped onion, celery and carrot and fry on medium-low heat for about 8-10 minutes. In the meantime, clean the mussels: you will need to wipe the shells thoroughly to remove even the smallest dirt and byssus. When the vegetables are very soft and well browned, add the garlic and parsley and continue to cook for a few minutes.
